Eight Fatalities In New Years Weekend Counting Period

Eight fatalities reported by the Missouri Highway Patrol during the New Year’s holiday weekend.

Last year there were seven people who died in traffic crashes.

This year a total of 352 crashes, were investigated with 112 injuries, and 127 DWI’s issued.

The counting period started on Friday, December 28th and ran through last (Tuesday) night at 11:59.
