Callaway County Homicide Victim Identified By Police

A 34 year old Columbia man is being identified as the victim of a homicide in Callaway County on Sunday night.

According to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Department the man found in the 1500 block of Old Highway 40 is 34 year old Lauro Garza-Perez.

An autopsy was conducted yesterday (Monday) at the Boone-Callaway Medical Examiner’s Office and the investigation is being classified as a homicide.

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office along with the assistance of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbia Police Department are continuing an investigation.
