Arrest Made In Jefferson City Shooting Death
A man is now charged with Second Degree Murder in a Jefferson City shooting death over the weekend.
Jefferson City Police arrested 22 year old Marquis D. Avant and say during an interview he admitted to firing a weapon during a disturbance that left 20 year old Robert Scott dead over the weekend.
Police say during an investigation they obtained information that Avant was at the location of the shooting on Hickory Street early Saturday morning.
The investigation is continuing.
