Vandalia Man Arrested In Audrain County Over Four Hundred Grams of Methamphetamine Found

A Vandalia man is in the Audrain County Jail facing drug charges after a traffic stop yesterday (Tuesday).

According to the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office a deputy observed a pick up truck pull out in front of another motorist, nearly causing a crash around 4:49 yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon in the 5000 block of US Highway 54, north of Laddonia.

After making contact with the driver, K9 Chal was called in and alerted on the truck.

A search of the truck turned up over 400 grams of Methamphetamine along with money in denominations consistent with drug sales according to the Sheriff’s department.

The driver 37 year old Joey Allen was arrested for drug trafficking and operating a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner.
