Callaway County Fire Agencies To Start Carrying Narcan

Fire departments and agencies in Callaway County will begin carrying Narcan during calls.

The medication is used to prevent opioid overdoses from heroin, morphine and oxycodone.

The Fulton City Council approved the fire department partnering with the Callaway County Ambulance District to bring Narcan to the city.

According to Fulton Fire Chief Kevin Coffelt his department should be carrying the Narcan in 2 to 4 weeks.
