Lightning Cause of Two Fires in Columbia

A lighting strike the cause of 2 fires in Columbia yesterday (Tuesday).

The first fire reported at 7252 Brackennhill Court around 4:33 yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

The occupants were not at home.

Around fifty thousand dollars in damages is being estimated.

The second fire reported last (Tuesday) night around 9:50 at the Aspen Heights Apartments.

Columbia Fire Department says the fire started in the attic and damages estimated at thirty thousand dollars.

No injuries reported.
