Holts Summit Woman Sentenced To Life In Prison For Callaway County Murder

A Holts Summit woman will spend life in prison after pleading guilty to a 2018 Callaway County murder in court yesterday (Monday).

According to court documents Amy Steward pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm in the 2018 shooting of David Grant.

Court documents read that Grant and Steward were in a relationship at the time.

Grant was found shot to death at his home outside of Holts Summit in April of 2018.

In addition to life in prison on the murder charge, Steward was sentenced to 15 years total for the other 2 charges.
