Judge Puts Missouri Abortion Law On Hold

Missouri’s abortion law scheduled to go into effect today (Wednesday) is now on hold after a ruling by a federal judge yesterday (Tuesday).

U.S. District Judge Howard Sachs issued a preliminary injunction to stop the law from restricting abortions at or after 8 weeks of pregnancy.

Lawyers for the American Civil Liberties Union and Planned Parenthood argued that the abortion laws are unconstitutional.

The only clinic in the state that performs abortion in the state is the Planned Parenthood in St. Louis.
