Jefferson City Man Shot In Torso

Jefferson City Police are investigating an incident where a 21 year old man was shot early yesterday (Sunday) morning.

Officers say it happened inside 712 Madison Street around 3 am.

The victim was hit with gun fire several times in the lower torso, and was taken to a Columbia Hospital by a private vehicle for treatment.

Police say the victim is not cooperating with investigators and based on the initial information gathered at the scene, this was not a random shooting.
