Montgomery County School Locked Down, Search Continues

The search for two men in Montgomery County is ongoing after a pursuit on westbound Interstate 70 near the 186 mile marker last night. [Sunday]

The suspect vehicle lost control, drove through the center median cables and crossed into the eastbound lane of I-70, colliding with an oncoming vehicle. No injuries were reported. Witnesses reported that two black males were seen fleeing the scene and running toward the Highway Y overpass.

Callaway and Audrain Counties provided assistance in the search.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a large amount of marijuana and cash.

The suspects are believed to have fled the area, but patrols are still in the Jonesburg area.

Jonesburg Elementary School has been placed on a modified lock-down as a precaution.
