Columbia Teen Dead After Home Invasion

A reported home invasion in Columbia last (Wednesday) night leaves a Columbia teen dead.

Columbia police say they went to an address in the 1400 block of Doris Drive at 7:10 last (Wednesday) night.

The resident told police that two suspects entered the residence and that one was shot by the resident.

Dead is 17-year old Joseph Valention Taylor.

The other suspect left the area before officers arrived and is described as a black male with short hair, last seen wearing blue pants, a white shirt, and white shoes.

A K-9 began to track the second suspect but was unsuccessful.
