Curryville Dog Breeder Shut Down By Attorney General

A Curryville dog breeder is now closed by the Attorney General’s Office.

The office served Debra Ritter, owner of Cornerstone Farms, with a temporary restraining order and a lawsuit yesterday (Tuesday) during an unannounced inspection.

The measures prevent her from selling or acquiring dogs.

The actions follow numerous previous inspections that cited problems with inadequate record keeping, injured dogs, and improper facilities.

A court hearing is scheduled for March 10th at the Pike County Courthouse in Bowling Green.

According to the Attorney General’s press release, this is the fourth Animal Care Facilities Act lawsuit that Attorney General Schmitt has filed since taking office.
