Scam Alert In Audrain County

The Audrain County Sheriff’s Office is warning people about a telephone call going on in the area.

According to the sheriff’s office they received several calls yesterday about scammers calling and telling residents their family members have been jailed or have been in accidents and need money.

The sheriff’s office advises do not give any personal information or send anyone any money without verifying the information with a family member.
