Jefferson City School District Surveying Parents and Students on Graduation Preferences

The Jefferson City School District is surveying parents about how they would like to see graduation handled.

In a virtual Board of Education meeting held last night for the first time since Governor Parson decided to close buildings across the state for the rest of the academic year to fight COVID-19, superintendent Dr. Larry Linthicum said the district has a running list of unanswered questions from parents they are working to answer.

In the survey families were asked to rank questions on whether to cancel graduation, keep and have it in May, or in June or July, or keep graduation but put it online for students and families to participate remotely.

According to the district it will continue to monitor the results of the survey before making a decision.
