Governor Parson Extends Stay at Home Order

In his daily press conference this afternoon, Governor Parson extends the stay at home order for Missouri.

The order is being extended until Sunday, May 3rd.

Additionally, Governor Parson said that projected numbers for positive cases of the novel coronavirus in Missouri were much worse than what is actually happening and that the stay at home order is working.

Parson outlined a plan on re-opening Missouri for business, including rapidly expanding testing capacity, expand Missouri’s reserves of PPE, continue to mnnitor and expand hospital capacity as needed, and improve the ability to predict outbreaks.

The use of Missouri-specific data will drive the approach to re-open Missouri.
