Discussions Being Held Regarding Missouri State Fair And Local Fairs

Discussions regarding possible changes to the Missouri State Fair and local fairs are ongoing with State Fair Board of Directors and Governor Mike Parson.

The Missouri State Fair is scheduled for August, however with health concers surrounding the coronavirus, questions remain whether the fair will or should go on as planned.

Governor Parson said during his briefing yesterday an evaluation on fair plans would happen around the first of June.

When asked about recommendations for county fairs, Parson said “Everybody’s going to have to adapt to something differently than what we did before this all started and the firsts couple of weeks of May will be critical to see really how things open up for June and July.”
