Missouri Lawmakers May Expand Absentee Voting This Year

Missouri lawmakers are moving to expand absentee voting amid coronavirus fears.

The House advanced a proposal yesterday (Wednesday) to ensure access to absentee voting this year.

If the measure becomes law, voters would be able to request to a ballot mailed to them without any other excuse. Voters still would be required to get those ballots notarized.

The proposal still needs senate approval and would then need to be signed by governor Mike Parson.
