Missouri Receiving Another Shipment of Remdisivir

Missouri will be receiving a shipment of 1,800 vials of Remdesivir this weekend for the state’s 129 COVID-19 patients on ventilators.

Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Director Randall Williams made the announcement yesterday during the governor’s daily press briefing.

Remdisivir is an antiviral medication that has been approved in the U.S. to help treat patients with more severe symptoms of coronavirus.

Adding to the more than 300 vials Missouri received last week, Williams said the new shipment will be enough to treat every single patient on a ventilator in the state.
