Mexico Man and Woman Arrested After Authorities Find Meth lab And Firearms

A Mexico man and woman are facing drug charges after authorities say they found a meth lab and firearms early yesterday (Tuesday) morning.

Audrain County Sheriff’s Deputies say they went to a residence in the 28000 block of Audrain County Road 408 in rural Mexico to follow up on a complaint regarding a counterfeit bill being passed.

While there, one of the Deputies noticed what he believed was a meth lab component lying near the front of the residence.

A further investigation led to a search warrant being obtained for the residence and property.

Members of the Sheriff’s Office and the East Central Drug Task Force say they found numerous other components of methamphetamine manufacturing and an illegally modified shotgun.

Those arrested are 38 year old Jacob Davenport and 23 year old Cassandra West.
