Columbia Man Arrested After Reportedly Threatening Large Crowds of People With Knife

A Columbia man is now being evaluated at a local hospital after an incident last (Friday) night where he is accused of threatening crowds of people with a knife.

According to Columbia police they located the man at 33 North Ninth Street with a nine inch blade.

The man identified as 28 year old Gabriel Falls is said to have fled on foot with his hand behind his back shouting shoot me.

The foot pursuit continued to the 800 block of East Broadway, where he dropped the knife and was eventually arrested.

He faces charges of felony use of a weapon, assault on a law enforcement officer, property damage and felony resisting when he is released from the hospital.
