Drug Charges Filed Against Callaway County Couple Seeking Political Office

A Callaway County couple seeking different political offices are facing felony drug charges.

According to court records Adela and Aaron Wisdom were charged on Thursday with manufacture of a controlled substance and attempted tampering with evidence.

Law enforcement claim the couple tried to burn 22 marijuana plants they had on their property after a Missouri National Guard helicopter with a county deputy flew overhead and spotted the plants.

After obtaining a search warrant law enforcement went to the property near Williamsburg and detained the couple and say they found many of the plants.

Adela Wisdom is a Republican candidate for Missouri’s 3rd District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Aaron Wisdom filed to run as a GOP candidate for Lieutenant Governor.
