License Issued to Missouri’s Only Abortion Clinic

Missouri’s only abortion clinic now has a license to operate after a year long legal battle.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services issued the license to Planned Parenthood today.

A lawsuit was brought last year after Missouri’s Health Department declined to renew the clinic’s license, which meant the clinic would not have been allowed to provide abortions.

The state’s Administrative Hearing Commission ruled last month that the health department was wrong not to renew the clinic’s license.

Another inspection was conducted at the St. Louis clinic before the license was issued today.
