Homicide Investigation Underway in Mexico

A homicide investigation is underway in Mexico after an intruder went into a home early this (Saturday) morning.

According to Mexico Public Safety it happened around 4:41am in the 800 block of West Street.

A woman reported an intruder came into the home and shot her 25 year old boyfriend.

The victim was declared deceased at the scene and an identity has not been released at this time.

Mexico Public Safety has requested the assistance and support of the Missouri Major Case Squad.

The incident continues to be under investigation.
