Callaway County Homicide Victim Identified

The homicide victim discovered in Callaway County Thursday afternoon is being identified.

According to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, the victim is 31 year old Ervin Hayes of Columbia.

Investigators are following up on approximately 50 leads in the case.

Boone County Sheriff’s officials, along with Columbia and Fulton Police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control are assisting in the investigation.
