Missouri Attorney General’s Office Receiving Many Complaints of Price Gouging

The Missouri Attorney General’s Office reports receiving almost 2 thousand complaints of price gouging in the state already this year.

According to Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, from January to July, Missourians reported 1,879 complaints.

For that same time frame in 2019, Missourians had reported just 9 price gouging complaints.

The complaints range from milk prices, to toilet paper to personal protective equipment.

Schmitt says his office has looked at every single complaint, however not every complaint was truly price gouging.
