Mexico Board of Education Sets Tax Rate for Upcoming Year

The Mexico Board of Education set the tax rate for the upcoming year at their meeting last night (Tuesday). Superintendent Dr. Tammy Lupardus says the rate will be $4.

The tax rate is broken into four different funds in the budget.

Dr. Lupardus says on other thing impacting the budget is COVID-19.

Dr. Lupardus estimates remote learning is estimated to cost the district around 1.2 million dollars for the upcoming year.
