Columbia Police Standoff Ends With Arrest of Wanted Man

A Columbia man wanted on felony warrants, including a federal warrant from the United States Marshall Service is now in police custody.

Columbia Police arrested 31 year old Tori A. Rose yesterday (Wednesday) in the 400 block of College Avenue.

Officers went to investigate a report of a burglary and say they observed Rose who initially fled in a vehicle, and then continued to flee on foot into the apartments in the area.

Rose barricaded himself in a residence for about 2 and a half hours and negotiations teams were called in.

He eventually surrendered after several rounds of tear gas were deployed.
