Two Mexico Lady Bulldogs have made the All-District softball team.

They are senior catcher Abby Oetting and sophomore Abby Bellamy at third base.

The Mexico Bulldogs finished their season with a second place in the North Central Missouri Conference and a 17-13 record.

Mexico High School Golfer Lily Knipfel had a great opening round yesterday (Monday) in the State Golf Tournament.

Knipfel shot a 7 over par for a 79 and finished the day tied for 4th.

She will tee off again this (Tuesday) morning for the last day of the tournament which is being played at Meadowlake Acres in New Bloomfield.

The Mexico Cross Country team had a nice showing in a North Central Missouri Conference meet in Fulton on Saturday.

The boys finished 4th out of 6th with three medalists. They included Thomas Peuster, Geoffrey Penn and Guy Fairchild.

The Girls finished 2nd out of 4. Sidney Turlington, Kalea Henneberry, Anna Fairchild, Monaisa Sidique and Kali Turlington all came home with medals.

The next meet is this (Tuesday) afternoon at Green Estates at 4pm.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills 26-17 last night (Monday) on the road improving to 5-1 on the season.

With his 2 touchdowns Patrick Mahomes became the fastest quarterback in NFL history to reach 90 career passing scores, edging out Hall of Famer Dan Marino.

Both of those scores fell into the arms of tight end Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs ground game racked up 245 yards that was headlined by rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire who accounted for 161 yards.

The Chiefs are in Denver on Sunday to face the Broncos.

Game 1 of the World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Los Angeles Dodgers takes place tonight (Tuesday) at Global Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

Tampa Bay send 27 year old right hander Tyler Glasnow to the mound while the Dodgers counter with ace Clayton Kershaw who is going on just 4 days rest.

First pitch is at 7:09.
