KWWR Sports Report 10/22

The Mexico Cross Country Boys and Girls teams each finished second in the Autumn Classic at Green Estates in Mexico on Tuesday.

Coach Lucas Brenneman says the cooler temps led to faster times.

Nine teams took part in the competition.

Medaling for the Mexico boys was Guy Fairchild, Thomas Peuster, Tyler Quinlan and Geoffrey Penn.

Taking home medals for the girls it was Moenaisa Sidique, Sidney Turlington, Anna Fairchild, Kalea Henneberry and Kali Turlington.

Districts start on Saturday, October 31st in Washington, Missouri.

The World Series is all evened up at one game apiece after the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-4 last night (Wednesday).

Game 3 takes place tomorrow night.

The Mizzou women’s volleyball team opened their season with a win last night (Wednesday).

The 9th ranked Tigers, started off their 8-game SEC schedule with a four-set victory on the road at Alabama.
