Columbia Investigating Disturbance With a Machete

Columbia Police are looking into a disturbance with a machete last night (Wednesday) in the 1500 block of Paris Road that sent 3 people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers responded to a call of smoke coming from a residence and found 2 people barricaded in the basement.

The man with the machete was detained and the investigation is continuing.
