Former Center City Clerk Indicted by Federal Grand Jury

Former Center City Clerk Tracey Ray now indicted by a federal grand jury.

Ray was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) and appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge David Noce today (Wednesday).

Ray is accused of fraudulently taking more than three hundred thousand dollars from the City of Center between January of 2015 and July of 2019.

Monies were allegedly used to pay Ray’s personal expenses and premiums on family health insurance.

Two months ago, State Auditor Nicole Galloway’s office released a months-long audit of Center’s finances detailing Ray’s spending habits.
