Community R6 Trojans Boys and Girls Basketball Start Seasons With Wins Over Marion County

The Community R6 Lady Trojans took the floor last night (Tuesday) against Marion County for the first time since a trip to the Final Four last March.

The Lady Trojans also had been quarantined for 2 weeks leading up to the contest.

Community R6 defeated Marion County 47-40.

Sarah Angel led the team with 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Brianna Beamer put up 7 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

It was Emma Angel with 7 points and 6 rebounds. Emmi Johnson finished with 7 points and 5 rebounds.

Emma Hombs had 6 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Brynna Beamer with 6 points and Shelby Clark contributed 4 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals.

The Community R6 Boys Basketball Team also picked up a victory in their season opener against Marion County 57-25.

The boys dominated in their opening game after being quarantined for 2 weeks leading up to the contest.
