More Details Released on Possible Shooting and Car Accident at Danville Exit Ramp On I-70

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department is releasing more details about a motor vehicle accident and possible shooting at the Danville Exit Ramp on I-70 last night (Tuesday).

The department says they located a vehicle and man near the rear of the vehicle and a female crawling on the ground saying she had been shot.

After a short standoff, 23 year old Kenneth C. McKnight II of St. Louis was identified as the suspect and he was arrested for Assault and Armed Criminal Action.

Deputies say the woman was shot and was taken to the University Hospital in critical but stable condition.
