Virginia Police Say a Protest at Senator Hawley’s Home Was Peaceful

Police are saying protestors who gathered outside of Missouri Republican Senator Josh Hawley’s Virginia home on Monday night were peaceful and left when they were told they were violating local picketing laws.

Hawley claimed on Twitter that the group had been engaged in left-wing violence and also said Antifa scumbags threatened his wife and daughter.

The demonstrators went to Hawley’s home after he said he would object when Congress convenes today to affirm Joe Biden’s election win.

The organizers for ShutDownDC said they were at Hawley’s house for 30 minutes and a small group of people delivered a copy of the constitution to his door.

Hawley tweeted the group screamed threats, vandalized and tried to pound open the door to their home.
