Mexico Man Arrested After Police Pursuit on Monday Afternoon

A Mexico man is facing multiple charges after taking Audrain County Sheriff’s Deputies on a vehicle pursuit yesterday (Monday).

The Audrain County Sheriff’s Department says they assisted Mexico Public Safety and the East Central Drug Task Force in serving a narcotic-related search warrant yesterday (Monday) afternoon in the 800 block of North Western Street in Mexico.

Authorities say a red dodge pickup truck that was at the residence began fleeing from officers and driving through nearby yards.

A 15 minute pursuit traveled Maple Street, North Jefferson Street, several Audrain County Roads and Missouri 15.

The pursuit ended at the intersection of Missouri Highway 15 and Audrain County Road 355, and the driver 26 year old Hayden Michael Sample of Mexico was arrested after surrendering according to the pursuing deputies.

Methamphetamine, Heroin, Marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were found and seized according to law enforcement.
