Mexico Basketball Picks Up Conference Wins Against Moberly

The Mexico Bulldogs Boys and Girls Basketball Teams picked up twin conference wins over the Moberly Spartans tonight (Tuesday) at the Mexico High School.

The Mexico Girls started things off with a 60-37 victory.

Freshman Riley Blevins led all scorers with 17 points.

Two other Lady Bulldogs got into double digits including Mya Miller and Riley Thurman with 10 points each.

Senior Abby Oetting finished with 8 points.

The Mexico Girls improved to their record to 11-3 overall and are 3-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference.

The Mexico Bulldogs Boys Basketball Team defeated Moberly 81-445.

The Bulldogs Boys avenged a loss to the Moberly Spartans from 5 days ago in the Macon Tournament where the Spartans upset the Bulldogs 77-71 to give them their only loss on the season.

Mexico had a huge third quarter outscoring the Spartans 24-4.

All give Bulldogs starters finished in double figures.

Daeye Miller had 18 points and 7 rebounds.

Isaiah Reams put up 15 points.

Raef Yager finished with 13.

Drew Blevins contributed 12 points.

And Jordan Mitchell had 11.

The Mexico Boys improved to 13-1 and improved to 2-0 in the NCMC and will next face Kirksville on the road Friday night.
