Mexico Man Arrested for DWI and Assaulting an Officer

A Mexico man is facing multiple charges following a traffic accident last night (Sunday) where he is accused of driving while impaired and then assaulting a Mexico Public Safety officer.

According to Mexico Public Safety they responded to the intersection of Boulevard and Muldrow and found that 29 year old Devin Fernandez was driving when his vehicle collided with another vehicle driven by 39 year old Serena Bosworth of Mexico.

Fernandez was arrested and taken to public safety where he reportedly assaulted an officer.

He is facing charges of Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device, Driving While Revoked, Driving While Intoxicated, Operating a Vehicle Without Financial Responsibility, Possession of Marijuana and 4th Degree Assault on a Special Victim.

There were no injuries reported from the incident.
