Mexico, Missouri native and Northern Illinois University’s Brit Wilson has earned All-American Honors at the NCAA Wrestling Championships after a first-period win at the Enterprise Arena last night (Friday).

Wilson will wrestle a placement match today (Saturday) in the medal round.

The Mexico Bulldogs Baseball Team opened up their season with a 21-5 win over Paris last night (Friday) at Green Field.

The Bulldogs are back at it again today with a triangular.

Mexico faces Excelsior Springs at 10 this Saturday, then battles Marshfield at 3pm.

The Missouri Tigers Men’s Basketball is set to face the Oklahoma Sooners in the first round of the NCAA Tournament tonight (Saturday).

Tip off is at 6:25.

Mizzou Women’s Basketball lost 78-75 to Fresno State in the first round of the WNIT in Forth Worth, Texas.

Mizzou led by as much as 20 with 5:14 left in the third quarter, however Fresno State outscored the Tigers 26-13 in the game’s final 10 minutes to take the win.

Up next the Mizzou Women will face Arizona State in the consolation bracket of the WNIT at 11 this morning (Saturday).

In Spring Training Baseball yesterday (Friday) the St. Louis Cardinals lost 8-5 to the New York Mets.

The Kansas City Royals and the Los Angeles Angels played to a 4-4 tie.

The St. Louis Blues defeated the San Jose Sharks 2-1 on the road.
