Short Film Shoots in Wellsville

A Wellsville native turned Los Angeles fil, TV and movie producer and assistant director returns to shoot a short film in Wellsville.

Stacey Nation is producing and helping direct the short film “The Return” about a young man returning to his small hometown to face his brother to make amends after having moved away.

Nation says it was a family affair of sorts as the locations were at Dairy Mart and Brinegar’s Service Station in Wellsville and on her uncle’s farm outside of Wellsville.

The film, written by Brant Hadfield, was shot using 35 millimeter film as opposed to digitally and will be pitched to various film festivals around the U.S.

Nation says once the film is edited, she would like to screen it in Wellsville and ultimately develop it into a feature film or TV mini-series.
