Pedestrian Hit Near Midway Travel Center in Boone County

One person is in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle close to the Midway Travel Plaza in Boone County last night (Sunday).

According to reports from ABC 17 News a vehicle hit the pedestrian around 9 on Highway 40 near West Cunningham Drive.

A trooper with the Missouri Highway Patrol investigating the incident says the person was hit by the vehicle after getting off a bus and walking into traffic.

The individual was taken to the hospital, however their condition is unknown.
