Hyundai Recalls Nearly 400,000 Vehicles
Engine fires are the reason nearly 400,000 Hyundais are being recalled.
More than 203,000 2013 to 2015 Santa Fe Sport SUVS are being recalled due to a possible brake fluid leak that can cause an electrical short in the anti-lock brake computer and start a fire.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is warning those owners to park the vehicles outdoors, away from structures as a precaution.
The other recall involves roughly 187,000 2019 and 2020 Elantras and 2019 through 2021 Konas and Velosters, all with 2-liter engines.
Piston rings are the problem reported in that recall.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified in June with details on repairs.
