Moberly Woman Sentenced for Smuggling Gun Into the Boone County Jail

A Moberly woman is now sentenced to 10 years after smuggling a gun into the Boone County Jail on February 14th.

Columbia police arrested Amy Wilhite for drug related offenses and too her to the Boone County Jail.

In March, Boone County Jail detention staff reported Wilhite hid a gun in a body cavity and snuck it into the jail.

Last month Wilhite pleaded guilty to the charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
