Boone County Health Hosting First COVID-19 Vaccination for Kids Ages Twelve to Fifteen at Columbia Mall
The Boone County Health Department will be holding the first vaccination clinic for kids ages 12 to 15 in the mid-Missouri area at the Columbia Mall this morning (Thursday).
The Pfizer clinic will be open to anyone at least 12 years old and is the first clinic in the area vaccinating the children after last night’s (Wednesday) vaccine approval by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services said the new approval gives 8,068 young teens in the county vaccine eligibility.
And the department says it is in talks with local school districts to set up vaccine clinics, however does not have any dates set yet.
