City of Auxvasse Asking for Community Help in Getting Dollar General Store Reopened

The City of Auxvasse is calling on the community’s help to try and get their Dollar General store reopened.

The store closed in June of 2020 and employed around 10 people.

According to the Dollar General Corporation the decision to close the store was based on an assessment of the store’s future profitability.

Many people believe the closure came after employees voted to unionize.

The City of Auxvasse is asking family members, and friends in the community who miss having the Dollar General to voice their opinions of how much of an impact the loss of the store has been.
