St. Louis Cardinals slugger Nolan Arenado will be the starting National League third baseman for the 2021 All-Star Game.

It was announced yesterday (Thursday) that fans voted him in, edging out the Dodgers Justin Turner and the Cubs’ Kris Bryant.

Yadier Molina the Cardinals’ other finalist for a starting spot among catchers, missed out on a starting nod in favor of Buster Posey of the San Francisco Giants.

For the Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez will be making his 7th All-Star appearance and sixth start as the American League Catcher.

The All-Star game will be played on July 13th at Coors Field in Colorado.

In major league baseball the St. Louis Cardinals dropped the series opener 5-2 to the Colorado Rockies on the road last night (Thursday).

The Kansas City Royals have now lost 9 in a row after a 15-1 defeat to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park yesterday.

The Royals were swept in the four game series against Boston.
