The St. Louis Cardinals completed the series sweep over the Pittsburgh Pirates with a 7-6 victory yesterday (Thursday) on the road.

Redbirds starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc exited the game after throwing just 30 pitches due to left elbow pain.

Dylan Carlson left the game citing right wrist soreness.

St. Louis will play the Kansas City Royals at the K tonight.

The Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up their final public practice before tomorrow’s (Saturday) preseason opening exhibition contest on the road against the San Francisco 49ers.

Patrick Mahomes spoke with reporters after the practice and said the teams mood is focused and he is focused on being better in the pocket.

The Chiefs and 49ers play tomorrow night at 7:30.
