Randolph County Coroner Named to State Commission

A Mexico, MO native and current coroner in Randolph County is named to a state board.

Governor Mike Parson has appointed three members to the Coroner Standards and Training Commission, created in 2020 to oversee and standardize training for coroners in Missouri.

Sidney Conklin of Huntsville, formerly of Mexico, has 32 years of experience with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and had previously been the Chief Investigator for the Missouri Board of Healing Arts.

The other two appointees are Phelps County Prosecutor Brendon Fox and Saline County coroner William Harlow.

There are still four vacancies on the Commission for another coroner, a child death pathologist, an appointed medical examiner, and an elected sheriff.
