The Mexico Bulldogs remain steady in this week’s high school football rankings. Mexico is still ranked 8th unchanged from last weeks poll.

Mexico is coming off a 42-6 win over Orchard Farm last week. This week the Bulldogs hit the road to play the Marshall Owls.

The Community R6 Lady Trojans Softball Team put another mark in the win column with a 9-5 win over Cairo last night (Monday).

Lady Trojans Head Coach Cody Asquith says Sophomore Paige Painter pitched a good game, throwing strikes and the defense made some good plays.

The Community R6 JV team lost 6-5.

The Mexico Girls Tennis Team defeated Osage 7-2 in a home meet last night (Monday).

Head Coach Kim Costley says it was not a conference match, and they used the opportunity to switch up doubles partners and the singles came out strong and dominated several matchups.

Mexico improved to 7-2 on the season and face Palmyra today.

The St. Louis Cardinals shut out the New York Mets on the road 7-0 last night (Monday).

Cardinals veteran Adam Wainwright pitched 6 shutout innings.

The Redbirds recorded their fifth victory in their last six games, and moved a half-game behind the idle Cincinnati Reds for the second Wild Card spot.

It was an overtime thriller on Monday Night Football as the Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Baltimore Ravens 33-27.

The Raiders came back from an early 2-touchdown deficit.
