Montgomery County First Responder and Wellsville Teen With Serious Injuries in Two Car Accident

A Montgomery County first responder has serious injuries after a 2 car accident in Wellsville last night (Friday).

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol it happened at Route A at Bates Street when a vehicle was being driven by 29 year old Patrick D. Powers, a first responder who was responding to an emergency call with lights activated, and a vehicle driven by 18 year old Sadie L. Gosseen failed to yield to the vehicle which was in the intersection causing a collision.

Gosseen’s vehicle ran off the road and hit a stop sign.

Both Powers and Gosseen were taken to the University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
