The St. Louis Cardinals put up another come from behind victory as they defeated the Chicago Cubs 4-2 at Wrigley yesterday (Sunday), completing the series sweep and winning their 16th game in a row.

The current win streak is the longest in franchise history and the longest by a National League team since 1951.

The Redbirds have trimmed their magic number for spot in the National League Wild Card Game, to just a single game.

St. Louis has the day off today (Monday), and can punch its ticket to the postseason at Busch Stadium tomorrow (Tuesday) night against the Milwaukee Brewers, who were crowned the NL Central Champions on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Los Angeles Chargers 30-24 yesterday (Sunday) at Arrowhead Stadium.

It was a back-and-forth game and was locked in a tie at 24 points apiece with just 2 minutes remaining, when Patrick Mahomes was picked off.

The Chargers would get the go ahead touchdown and Kansas City suffered their second-consecutive loss.

Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid left Arrowhead in an ambulance at the conclusion of the game.

The team said in a statement Reid is doing well and is in stable condition and resting, after being taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Up next The Chiefs visit the Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday.
